English experience!

 Hello classmates and teacher,

I hope you are well, today I come to talk to you about my experience in the English course at the university.

Well, to begin with, I consider very different the level of English that I usually practiced in my educational establishment, since we rarely spoke in English and I consider that it was a big deficiency not to practice speaking and to give much emphasis to grammar.

However, within the course although with the difficulties of the online modality, in the classes I was in at the beginning I felt that I understood English much more, which encouraged me to practice it on my own, although for personal reasons I have not been able to practice much (but I swear that someday I will do it hahaha).

I found the blogging modality very entertaining, not only to learn from the mistakes we can make in writing, but it was also fun to know other things about the classmates, since due to the context of the pandemic it is more difficult for us to get to know each other.

I feel that I need to improve my English, but I would like to do it in a place where only English is spoken and it becomes a daily necessity, so I hope to travel at some point to an English-speaking country to reconcile the differences I have in my English level.

These days the truth is that I use English very little, to tell the truth, almost never, only on occasions when in some subject there is a text in English (since political science is mostly Anglo) and by necessity I need to read it, but very rarely outside the student context I use it.

 Hello classmates and teacher,

I hope you are well, today I come to talk to you about my political science curriculum at the University of Chile!

Well, to begin with, I think that the courses included in the curriculum respond to a wide variety of topics in which political scientists will be involved in our work challenges, so they respond very well to the expectations that may include, however, if I would like a change, where we can learn about more skills and other courses from other careers, in order to be able to welcome more information about the area in which we would like to work later.

I think that for a career as important as political science is, it is well suited to the workload of the courses and the distribution of those in the semesters, however, I believe that more courses are required and with that, a 7-year curriculum including an internship in the area in which you are comfortable.

Due to the pandemic, I have not been able to attend the facilities of the institute of public affairs, although I look forward to the new project of Vicuña Mackenna 20, where it can be seen as a modern building with access to faculty modalities included.

despite the technologies, I believe that it must be accompanied by a face-to-face and traditional process, that technology is a support in that area. In this sense, the teaching methodology should be face-to-face, with the skills that one faces in working life, which of course must be face-to-face.

My future job

Hello classmates, today I will talk about my future job.

Well I think my job should be related to what I am studying, and I would like to be in the area of decentralization and regionalization, so a dream would be to work in the regional government of O'Higgins, I would like to start in the area where I have lived the years of my life and then, having gained experience, in a ministerial position referred to regionalization.

On the other hand, I would like to go more to the south of Chile and also contribute in my profession to the regions to join a new scenario where they are major players in the development of the country, in this sense, I would like to live in the city of Valdivia in the region of Los Rios.

Another option I am looking for is perhaps to go to work outside the country, in Europe, however, I would like to start in my homeland and then contribute with experience in new locations outside the country.

I believe that this job requires a lot of travel to all corners of the region to know how to make the most of the human and geographical potential of each region.

If we talk about salary, it is preferable that it is over one million pesos, although it is part of an average of the political scientist profession.

Time Travel to the future!

 Hello classmates,

today I will talk about time travel, and the place where I would like to be is in Chile nine years from now, that is, in 2030, I would like to see the progress that the nation has had and the advances or setbacks that have occurred, being able to visualize the impact I think would give a better initiative to promote faster the changes that are necessary to reverse situations such as world hunger, drought or climate change. In addition to that, to be able to participate in some instance where they seek to visualize this and contribute directly to the changes that are necessary, however, I would not like to stay at that time, as it would only be a small "spoiler" of what is coming for the future.

And in that sense, to be able to return to my current time with the necessary experience to be able to promote the changes that will be required in the future, or some other urgency that occurs later on, such as a possible restructuring of the world political system, a third world war, a new financial system, etc. There are so many possibilities that I can think of that may occur 9 years from now, I feel that the industry has to turn towards a circular economy, promoting from now on that the new needs do not threaten the ecosystem and that if we do so, we would only produce new short-term needs that may not be reversible in time.
